CRM Analytics - BW Reporting

Hi,

We are implementing standalone CRM with BW & EP. Would like to know from where all can we view the reports on Activity Mgt, Opportunites etc.

I mean, which system do we actually access to view these reports - is it core CRM or BW or Portal ?

Hi Dear,

In CRM, they have their own reports based on their OLTP system. But when we load the data from CRM to BW, we can do slice and dice on the data and we can able to do the <b>analytics</b> also.

In Portal, we can create the link and we can point to our BW report. Also it is having standard package like our BW standard business content.

Hi,

CRM is like R3 system. We have to load the data from CRM to BW throw standard data source and load to standard info providers. After completion of the data load, we can access all reports in BW system via standard available reports.

Portal is just like display of existing BW reports. Portal is only a central point to access all other landscape reports and some restricted transactions. Here we can only mention the details of the system that where we are going to access the reports and details of the reports that we are going to see. In Portal, we can't create any new reports.

Thanks Vivek for your inputs. Do you mean that we can have reports directly in CRM without using BW ? and then have them onto the portal ?

Can you give some more explanation please.
