Size of an analysis workbook

Hello,

has anybody noticed that the size of the Workbook is differs from one WB to another?

For example, I've included a simple query into a workbook and add some macroses - the total "weight" is about 80Kb.

Second workbook has more or less the same query structure, the same macros and the weight is 700Kb, which I founs very strange.

All workbooks have been saved with the following options:

1. Reset DS before saving

2. Delete the data before saving

3. Refresh the WB afte opening

Can anyone explain me, what is going on? Is there any chance to compress the WB?

How big was the crosstab before saving? I had a similar issue, i had around 40k lines and the workbook was about 2 MB after saving, although my DS was resetted before saving.

Try to delete all lines in excel (mark all lines, then right-click and delete, or "ctrl + -"). That solved the problem for me and the file size was <100 KB.
