I have 2 models = 1 story, 2 canvasses. I want each canvas in my story to have data from 1 model each canvas. I am uploading an excel spreadsheet at the moment, which I want to use as my models. Each of the models I'm wanting to create is a separate tab in my spreadsheet. I don't want the 2 models to be linked in any way.

However, my issue is that when I try to create a measure to calculate the number of passes by %, it fails and says it is not linked.

Once I come out of the measure creation screen and try to add it later, it greys out my measure and won't allow me to select it. When I go to edit calculations I get the below...

It displays the message "model link is missing; use link dimensions dialog to re-create missing link."

Hi Ian,

You can't reassign a new model to an existing chart.

If you try that you get the following prompt:

Hi Ian - this is in the model screen? There's currently no remodeling feature that I am aware of - which means you can only model once; otherwise you have to start over.

This is not in the model screen. This has all come about because I changed the layout of the spreadsheet and reimported it to create some new models to incorporate my new fields I needed. We are working on getting a live connection to the SQL tables at a later date, this is just a proof of concept at the moment until we get the data sorted out. I have reassigned all the charts to now use the new models.

I go to create a restricted measure which only shows the number of passed items. I then create a calculated measure to divide the passed items by the number of records and display this as a percentage. It then fails and tells me I need to link it, but I don't want it linked to the first model. They should be totally independant from each other.

I'm coming across the same issue again. Whenever I try to create a new version of the model and I want to reassign each of my charts with the new model, it comes up with an error telling me I need to link dimensions. I don't want to link the new model with anything, as I eventually want to remove all traces of the old model from the canvas I'm using.
