Hi,

I copied the function group and renamed one of the FM. Now when I try to look up using se37. It does not come up.

What could be the problem.

Thanks and regards.

Hi Srinivas,

Did you have FM created for the function group?

Please check using SE80 under function module folder.

If you don't have one, you can create new FM either using SE80 or SE37 and attach to the function group.

You can not browse function group using SE37, only FM.

I activated the function group.

But can't find the FM yet. I renamed only one FM which I needed while copying the function group.

Hi Srinivas,

After doing any changes to the function module, we need to release the function module.

To releae a FM, Do as follows:

Give the Function module name in SE37 and Goto Function module menu -> Release -> Release.

Thanks,

Vinay

Hi,

If you remember the rename FM and perhaps under the original function group, you can reassign to your desire function group using SE80.

Do right click on the FM and select reassign ... and enter new function group.

Hi Ferry,

I was able to do like you said. But when i clicked Reassign, I got a prompt saying

"FM name is reserved for SAP"

What is the problem.

Thanks and regards.

Hi,

You must be click on rename instead reassign.

Do you want to reassign FM or rename FM?

If you want to rename ... it just a warning message and you can click continue to rename to your new FM.

Hi Ferry,

I am trying to customize the FM HRWPC_EREC_CREATE_EREC_OBJECT, to pass some additional parameters. I came to know that I need to copy the function group and FM and then do it. Now when I did copy the function group, I only copied this one FM. But when I activate and try to look up the FM. Its not there at all.

No FMs are there in the copied function group.

Thanks and Regards.
