hai
tell me about multi-mapping . in which scenerio we will go for it.
thx in advance.
Hi -
Used in mapping based message splits (1:n) as shown here (/people/jin.shin/blog/2006/02/07/multi-mapping-without-bpm--yes-it146s-possible) and then only in BPM transformation steps where the mapping ratio for source to target messages can be m:n.
At a high level, aside from the mapping based message split scenario where BPM isn't used, multi-mappings are most commonly used in BPM split (1:n) or merge (n:1) scenarios.

Jin

So, mappings like
1. 1:N --> 1 source message and N target messages
2. N:1 --> N source messages and 1 target messages
3 M:N --> M number of source messages and N number of target messages
are referred as MultiMappins.
Mapping 1 can be achieved without BPM whereas others need to have a BPM.

1. 1:N
2. N:1
3. M:N
