Employee Terminated in R/3 Org structure

Hello. We are replicating our Org Structure from R/3 to SRM. Once these users are in SRM they create documents - shopping carts, PO's, etc). Now there is a change that comes from R/3 HR. The employee is terminated - we get this change as a change pointer and the business partner is no longer associated with the Org structure (which makes sense because we do not want them to create new documents). We have an issue with existing PO's , they cannot be changed in SRM and confirmations cannot be entered in SRM because the PO's have the requester business partner number that is no longer valid. Please advise if you have been able to resolve this issue.

Thanks,

Stuart

We have the same problem. Unfortunately our HR team has told us that when they term an employee all the termed employees vacate their positions and are assigned to a termed position that does not get replicated to SRM.

To deal with this we are recreating temporarily some relationships for these termed employees directly in SRM so our procurement department can modify the SC and PO documents.

On the CRM side our CRM team has written a custom program to modify all documents of termed employees before they are actually removed from the system. This is something we are investigating for SRM.

Tom,

Could you please provide the exact details on how you recreated the relationships in SRM that allowed you to change the PO and SC documents without error.

Thanks,

Stuart

Hi

I am not able to uderstand your business requirement clearly.

Incase you want to change the Business partners in SRM system using the transaction code - BBPMAINTINT.

Let me know incase you want to share some details.

Hi,

I would suggest that DO NOT delete the Business Partner, just delimit the Position in the Org Unit.

Doing this the uSer will not be able to create docs and the exisiting documents will be valid.
