Hi,
We have a datastore for Data Services created for the SAP ECC application. Developers can import ECC Tables to include as sources for Jobs created in Data Services Designer. I would like to know if there is a way to restrict the tables which a developer can import from this data store to include in a job. for eg. sensitive data tables such as HR (PA00*) tables should not be part of the tables which the developer can import and include into a Job.
Furthermore, is it possible to control which tables a developer can lookup to import depending on his/her authorization in ECC?
We are using Data Services Designer 4.2 SP8
Thanks

Yes, at database level. The tables you see in DS are the tables the database user from the datastore definition can see.
By selectively granting access to that user you can exactly define the import scope.

Thanks Dirk. I guess this is the answer we are expecting.
