How do you migrate Communication Categories?

Hello,

I am looking to migrate the communication categories subscribed for contacts into C4C. Has anyone done this before? I see there is a hidden Marketing Permissions tab in the customers migration template but I think this only refers to the Marketing Permissions Channel.

Hello Anouska,

SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer now has the option to upload Marketing Permissions using the Data Workbench tool. To do that, please follow the below steps:

1. Go to the Data Workbench work center;
2. Select the Import view;
3. Ensure that the Complete Business Objects option is selected;
4. Select the object Marketing Permissions and click the link to Download metadata;
5. In the resulting ZIP file, you can then populate the multiple CSV templates with the relevant information;
6. Back to the Data Workbench > Import screen, click Next;
7. Browse for the Marketing Permissions ZIP file and click Upload;
8. Click Next — the system will validate the uploaded data;
9. Once that is done, click the Import button
10. You can then observe the status of the import in the Monitor view
