Can batch characteristics of a material be used in i) planning, ii) Goods Receipt, iii) Stock maintenance and iv) location maintenance ?

You can use batch characeristic in planning--this is called characteristic planning

Batch chacteristics of a material can be used for Goods receipts in following cases by using a exit

1.GR from PO

2 GR from production order

3 Miscellenaous goods movement

The detailed information is available under IMG.

It is also used for Inventory management ,but we have not used so far.

The GR case was used for sceanrior 1 by us.Planning and location , atlest I havenot comes across usage.

Hello Mohan,

Batch characteristics can be used depends on the batch class. So check out the possibility of class assignment in CT04.

If you have specific requirement, please explain that will help to give accurate information.
