How to remove messages from qRFC?

Former Member

Hi experts,

I have a simple question:

I currently have many messages in HOLDING status in my Adapter Engine.

This is a development environment so I will like to remove these messages from the queue.

Please teach me how to do this.

Thanks.

Ron

Sreeram,

My situation is strange - when i go to SMQ1 / SMQ2:

client : 001

QueueName: *

Queue Destination: *

Waiting Queues only:<null>

I get Nothing Selected.

But when I see my messages in message monitoring, I can see their conversation ID - MMFSERIALIZE00xx.

Please advise.

Holding status is you can see in RWB only, so try to locate error and then either cancel or reprocess error. you will not find anything in queue since message is not yet entered in XI and on hold on sender side.

even after select client:* if you are not able see anything then nothing is stored in Queues

Ok.

But if I try to "cancel" the messages, I get the following error message:

<i>"Unable to cancel 11 of 11 messages; update the status"</i>

Try to cancel error message only not all messages.

there is one more workaround:

Which communication channel you are using? If file then delete all files from sender folder.

Gourav,

The scenario i'm using is File -> XI -> File

The error occurs at the Receiver. So the input file have all been consumed.

Anyway, I've managed to remove the messages.

I think the trick is to order by ConversationID and make sure the messages are all deleted in order - E.g. Sequential nUmber 3 cannot be deleted before Sequential Number 2.

But I guess this is another thing I need to take note in production.

Thanks guys.

Hi,

Encountered the same problem again.

I cannot seem to delete any messages in HOLDING status from the RWB.

I do not see any error status from the RWB as well.

Please help.

Thankr.

Solution is simple but it works many a times.

Go to communication channel monitoring and Stop and Start communication channel again.

then refresh the CPACache and try.

Hi Ron,

Holding status is shown for EOIO Quality of Service, Please check for error message first if you can reprocess it then holding status will become successful but if error in non-repairable then right click on queue then select "Delete LUW" option, It will ask for confirmation and confirm your selection.

after this do not forget to unlock queue by clicking on "open lock" button on menu bar.

Ron,

In SXMB_MONI go to the column where queue name is specified, double click on it. Here you can delete the entries in the queue.
