Extenal Definition message acts as data type and message type. You need not create message type for external defintions. You have to select Message Name from external defenition while doing the mapping .If u r not able to find the message name, check your structure of XSD....

Jaya,
no need to create message type for this. direclty create messge interface. you can directly use it in target mapping just selecting thr External defination.

Hi,
I think you cant create a Message type with XSD, you can directly use that in Message Interface and Message Mappings.
