Hello,
Does someone know if it's possible to default the sales org for every account.
Scenario: Our customer is only working with one sales organization so every account can be assigned to the sales org.
Thanks
Hi Arian,
Can you give us a little more detail about the integration? Several questions come to mind:
1. How are you transferring the accounts from ERP to C4C? If you're using IDOCs, the Sales Org can be sourced from the IDOC and passed through the mapping via your middleware tool of choice (PI/XI for example).
2. Is this for an initial transfer of data or has the data already been transferred to C4C without the Sales Org and you want to go back and add it? If this is the case, you could consider using Mass Data Maintenance (ie: the data is already created and just needs to be updated). Data Workbench is another option in a scenario like this.
3. Are you additionally talking about the creation of new Accounts directly in C4C that won't necessarily be created via integration? In this case, we could consider a default value for the Code List, a Workflow Rule, etc.
Hope this points you in the right direction.

Hi Arian,
Thanks for the clarification. The tag you used made me suspect that you were integrating with ERP instead.
In your clarified case, the answer from Ankush below is correct, but I would make one small addition:
1. Ankush is correct that you must add it manually and then use the Org. Management WoC to set rules for Sales Documents.
2. However, as I referenced above, it would be possible to use Mass Data Maintenance to update the Sales Org. for all Accounts already in the system:
- In the Silverlight UI, go to the Mass Data Maintenance WoC
- Choose the link to "Export Customers"
- Download the data for the necessary accounts, specifically the "General" and "Sales Data" tabs
- You can then add the Sales Org. ID, return to Mass Data Maintenance and choose "Import Customers" to load the updated data.
This way, you can update all previously created data, and add this step to your Account creation process for future entries. As a final caution MDM should be carefully tested before use in production so you don't create data inconsistencies!
Best Regards,
Brian
Dear Arian,
1.While creation of Account master data, you need to manually maintain the 'Sales Org' under 'Sales Data' facet.
2.However , while creation of Sales Document (for e.g.'New Sales Quote') you can use defaulted the Sales Organization for ALL Account
(For specific accounts).
For this the proposal is :-
i)Go to Organization Management woc->Organizational Work Distribution view ->Edit 'Sales Unit for Sales'->Add Rule for particular Org Unit .
=>Now this Rule can be applibacle to 'ALL' account OR selected account (which you can select in Account tab in below section).
Kindly set to answer ,if this helps.
Thanks and Regards,
Ankush Pashine.
