Hi Rakesh

Yes...via IDOC we can't send more than 1024KB data

if more than this it will send to target will errors based on the size limit

-- If you want to send more data than you can group of IDOCs to do that

Sreeram,

Are you sure about this?

Each segment can hold a max of 1000 bytes of data. For instance the segment E1MAKTM of the IDoc type MATMAS01 cannot hold more than 1000 bytes of data.

If you exceed this size then your IDoc will end up with an error.

Hi Prabhu

-- Each segment can hold a max of 1000 bytes of data

That is the case Idoc is combination of multiple Segments then

Can we send more data in single IDOC ?

yes that is 100 % correct . 1024 kb can contain large data do need to worry on this. 0 to 99999 not means all 99999 you will data it is only exterme case you get.

the maximum size of the idoc is limited at the segments level. say some some segments u can find entry like 9999 and u cannot store or save the data in the sgements beyond that limit.if u want to send more data or dont want to restrict the size then proxies is the option to choose over idocs

i'm not much sure abt it is bytes/KB. it holds the same explanation as like u wud define occurences for the source/target node in DT....i think it shud be in bytes
