Hi,
I was given a task to delete workitems in the production system. I know about SWWL, but SAP advices not to use in PRD environment. However SWW_SARA can be used, Im not clear about the way of using it.
Regards,
Sathish.
Hi Sukumar,
I've already had this task too here in the project and we asked for BASIS help. They had created a group to analise and use SWW_SARA.
Nowadays they (BASIS) are the responsables to use this transaction here because they have feelling and know the transaction SARA (that have the same functionality of archiving and uses the object WORKITEM and SWW_SARA is only to WF).
We agreed with archiving only records older than 3 (other records) months ago and 2 years (Our WF/WI's projetc).
But you is wright. The correct transaction to use is SWW_SARA and not SWWL or SWWH.
Hope this help you.

Hi Sukumar,
There is a function module SWP_WORKFLOW_ITEM_CANCEL, which cancels the work item . Better you can use this function module to change the status to 'Cancel', so that work items will not appear in workflow inbox.

Have a look at the notes 49545 and 573656

hi,
simply search this forum about this topic, in PRD you do not delete workitems, but you archive them (object WORKITEM for transaction SARA), you can even get yourself in to legal trouble if you delete data.
