tp import of type-groups w/out syntax check

I create a type-group with reference to a data-element. The transport with (only) the type-group is released. The data-element is not existing in the destination system, neither included in the transport.

As a consequence, the type-group has syntax-error in the destination system.

Problem:
TP import finished w/out any errors. The type-group does not trigger any verification or generation.

Question
Is there some option that the import-step verifies type-groups for correctness?

Type groups are obsolete.

Create a class or interface with public static attributes instead, more efficient.

Thank you for your reply, Mike, and for the link. I only partly agree w/ SAP. But worth to keep in mind what they write about loading large type-groups for some few constants. Hmmm, something to contemplate and think about.... ... .. .
