Is there any method to deselet the row in a ALV

Hi ,
What is ur requirement to deselect a selected row or to avoid to selection of rows.
If to aviod selection of rows then in the layout there is field edit_mode pass a value = 'A' or 'D'.
Please reward if useful.
ALV is only for displaying the data in tabular format.
it doenst mean for this kind of things, u can have such option in Module pool, using table control.
