ECC QM EMW integration

Hi,

I have gone thru SAP help and all the config nodes. However I am trying to find out if there is a better way to have inspection lots being created in ECC other than type 17 to show the difference between 01, 04 , 08 inspection types. Right now everything comes in as 17 inspection type. How can a QC inspector who works in ECC differentiate between the different inspection lots ?

Thanks

Gautam

Come on, that can not be that difficult?

In ECC you can define your own inspection type. 17 is the default type delivery by SAP, but you can define your own, the only requirement is that the use the inspection lot origin 17 (Externally Triggered Inspection).

In the EWM inspection rule, in the section "Arguments - External System" you can enter the Inspection Type to be used in the external system.

"How can a QC inspector who works in ECC differentiate between the different inspection lots ?"

Not coming from QM - is there any need to differentiate?

    • OK, good point. So with the above explanation you should be able to set it up as required. In the inspection rule you can also enter a "Task List Type", a "Task List Group" and a "Group Counter" (whatever that is), does that get you covered?

I go and change the inspection rule, in my system the fields are open... :-|

Sure you got the right rule (and not a lower detail rule)?
