Hi, I need to setup a persistent model in HANA in my project for Native HANA developments, I was going through the SAP Documentation, noticed that, there are 3 different ways to create persistent objects(Like Tables, Views etc..). By using SQL Scripting procedure, or HDB Schema document or Core Data service Document. What is the best way to create persistent model? or what is the use case for going with each scenario? Please explain,

Thanks

You should use Core Data Service artifacts (hdbdd for XS Classic, hdbcds for XS Advanced) to create your persistency model. CDS is the key technology for the future. Also the tooling support (especially in the XS Advanced area) is much better than for the other options. Also XS classic artifacts like hdbtable do not get any improvements or new features any more. Another example for an advantage in an XS Classic environment is, that you are able to transport CDS artifacts compared to objects created with pure SQL. There are many more reasons to go with CDS ...
