404 Service not available Randomly

Hello All,

We are facing one strange issue after EHP8 upgrade. We have SSO configured for the UI5 application. This UI5 app calls some gateway services. Now randomly I start getting 404 'call was terminated because the corresponding service is not available' issue even though the gateway service is very well valid/active in SICF and working most of the times.

Additionally, we are getting basic authentication pop-up for OData services once called from SSO enabled UI5 app. First UI5 app is loaded with SSO, user is authenticated and session should be created but now once we start calling OData service within the app, it gives basic authentication popup sometimes. Once we clear the browser cache completely (from browser settings), it resolves the issue for sometime and SSO works properly. Issue again starts after some time (for sure occurs next day).

Please guide if you have any idea about this.

Hello Ekansh,

What is "in front" of this landscape?

Is it always forwarding the calls to the correct system (e.g., calls to Gateway Services are always forwarded to the Gateway system)?

It sounds like there is a load balancer in front of the landscape, and that it would be sending requests to the incorrect system, some times.

Regards,

Isaías

Hello Isaias,

Yes there is WebDispatcher in front but I assume it is working correctly as there are many services available in my system but only few are giving this error, rest all are working fine.

If you can share some more knowledge on this, I would ask the basis team to check the WebDispatcher config once more.

Regards,

Ekansh

Hello,

I have updated the question with additional symptom in the 2nd paragraph.

"Additionally, we are getting basic authentication pop-up for OData services once called from SSO enabled UI5 app. First UI5 app is loaded with SSO, user is authenticated and session should be created but now once we start calling OData service within the app, it gives basic authentication popup sometimes. Hello Ekansh,

Please share the Web Dispatcher profile and any auxiliary files (e.g., used at parameters like "icm/HTTP/mod_X"), so we can see how it is configured.

In addition, share examples of odata services that present the issue.

Regards,

Isaías
