Hi All,
I was searching Internal Goods/Services via Product ID. In the search criteria for Product ID we have given 1* as search criteria and it seach all alphanumeris Internal Goods/Services but not able to give search results for numeric Internal Goods/Services.
Do we need to apply any correction note?
Best Regards
Lovkesh
hi,
In OMSL, except 18 digits mentionned, nothing else should be flagged ( no lexico...) and everything should work well with alphanumeric and numeric items (goods and service)
Also,in Your SRM system display leading zeros is checked but in backend - no.
Uncheck this checkbox in COMCPRFORMAT and try to create SC.

Disha.

Hi Lovkesh
The problem might be due to leading zeros.
If your numeric material no is 123456789, try like this to search 0000000001* or 0*
You can check the number as it is stored in tables in SE16 (COMM_PRODUCT table).
As Disha mentioned, check OMSL settings for leading zero indicator.

Hi,
I have already tried all option mentioned.
The SAP search criteria works in 2 ways:
(1) When the search criteria is 1* than the result of search will be all of materials/products/ . With 1 series of number range should be outputted.
(2) When the search criteria is 1 than the result of search will be all of materials/products/ . Any number range with1 being one of the character in the number.
For me the Option no.1 is not working. Do we have any SAP-OSS note to be applied.
Hi Lovkesh
Pl note that this is one of the first settings in SRM system that should have been done as per R/3 settings. Now that materials are already there in the database, we need to see a way of correcting them (If you see COMM_PRODUCT table in SE16, you will see that materials have leading zeroes).
Will try to find out how we can correct the materials?
Can you send me this info:
1) Are you on a productive system ? How many materials did you replicate ?
2) Did you uncheck it in R/3 now or was it there before also? Did you uncheck in SRM now ?
Best regards
Ramki

Hi
Which SRM version are you using ?
There is a bug in the SRM Search help. We have faced the same issue quite long time back. At that time, we have to make the changes to the standard search help.
Let me know incase you need any details.
Hope this will help.
