error encountered when running sapinst.exe

Hello,

We'll be building SRM 5.0 in Windows 64-bit platform, database Oracle

10g. When we try to execute sapinst.exe to run the prerequisite

checker, we encountered an error:

We have tried several resolution based on the thread that reporting the same problem but to no avail. Here are the items that we have tried to resolve the problem:

- check the version of java (j2sdk1.4.2_13-x64)

- set system variables JAVA_HOME (C:\j2sdk1.4.2_13-x64) and

SAPINST_JRE_HOME (C:\j2sdk1.4.2_13-x64\jre)

- execute command sapinst.exe SAPINST_DIALOG_PORT = <free_port_number>

GUISERVER_DIALOG_PORT =<free_port_number>

- make sure that no firewall and antivirus are activated

log off from the system. Restart the server & then try running sapinst.exe
