Can any one please explain about EP And Solution manager configuration

Dear Basis Gurus,

Iam new to the Sap Basis Area , I have been attending interviews on Basis

The most common questions i have faced are:

1)How will you configure the EP after the installation and how will you support?

2)How will you install solution manager ,what are the post installation steps how can you keep all the systems to be available with sol manager?

Can any one pls send me some docs on this
