Hello Experts,

I have a conceptual question for BW datasources. I want to know how the system keeps track of the delta update.

Let me elaborate it: Let's say I run Full update on Monday and then run delta update on Wednesday. So the how the system will remember or keep track that I have records of up till Monday and I have to pick only of Tuesday and Wednesday. Is there any standard table which maintains log for Datasource runs along with their update mode thru which sytem fetches these values...

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Regards,

full and delta don't mix that way. you first initialize your delta. the system will keep this timestamp in a table. next time you run the delta, it will pickup this timestamp and only load records changed/created after this timestamp. when you run a full, the system does no check whatsoever, it just extracts all data from the source system that meets the selection criteria. again, there is a lot of info available on this topic. you should really search/find/read before posting this kind of basic questions, cfr https://answers.sap.com/questions/209990/making-a-standard-datasource-delta-enabled.html

Yeah Mario you are right the system will keep the record of last run in a table and I want to know the name of that table. Also while we are implementing Z-datasource thru an FM, then do we need to update that table or the system update that table.
