Hi All,
I have 2 ODSs that load 2 cubes.
The ODSs and cubes were initialized last month and we have done 4 delta loads to the ODS and cube since then.
Now we need to delete the requests in the cube and reinitialize/ reload from the ODS.
If I delete the init load and the delta loads from the Infocube, do I need to do anything in the ODS before I start the init load to the cube again?
Here are the steps that I think I need to follow:
1. Delete delta requests in the Cube
2. Delete init load in the cube
3. Delete init flag in the cube
4. Schedule init load from ODS
Please let me know if the above is correct.
Thank you,
Riya
I just looked at the init infopackage from ODS to cube.
Unfortunately, this is how it looks
ODS 1 & 2
Infopackage for ODS 1 loads Infocubes sales history and revenue history
Infopackage for ODS2 loads Infocubes sales current and revenue current
The issue is data only needs to be deleted and reinitialized from sales history and sales current cubes.
If I delete initialization flag in both Infopackages, it will delete the init flag for the revenue Infocubes as well right? How can I make sure it deletes the init flag only for the sales Infocubes?
Thanks,
Riya

Hi,
How can I make sure it deletes the init flag only for the sales Infocubes?
It is not possible to go like this for a specific Datatarget,if the source datatarget gives the data to more than on target datatarget.
So you need to start upload from scratch to both Cubes.

Hi,
You can follow the below steps to load the desired Cube.
1. Delete data from Sales History Cube.
2. Do repair full from DSO1 to Sales History.
3. Delere Init flag for 8DSO1.
4. Do Init W/o data transfer to both the cubes.
Same can be followed for the second load. Hope I could justify it.

Hi Riya,
Be sure that in your infopackage, you have selected the infoprovider you want to update checking the button "select datatargets" and the infoprovider itself in the tab "Data Targets"

Or can I do a "Delete data" on the Infocube instead of deleting individual requests, delete the init flag in the cube and schedule an init load?
Thanks,

Hi,
1) You can delete the Data of Info cubes at a time by context menu option
2) Then go to the Info package used for delta init from ODS to cube,
From the schedular menu option you can see Initialiazation option for source system ,
Select that option. Then here you can see a screen with title Initialization for this Source ,
Click on Sttus button, then you can see Monitor screen,Go to status tab page,Make the total status to red.
And then delete this delta information from Initialization for this Source screen

Yes. So I basically turn all requests to red in the Infocube request tab before deleting right? What about in the monitor? Do I need to turn the technical status in the monitor to red as well?
Thanks for your help Anil!

Hi,
Absolutely perfect. Go ahead.
And I hope, You are aware of making init request status to red before deleting it from Schdular option of info package.
