SAP Lumira in Citrix / App-v non persistent desktop enviroment

Hello ! I'm currently trying to preapare an app-v package of SAP Lumira 1.13 for our XenDesktop / App-V enviroment. My main concerne is licensing. License key is entered during sequencing/creation of an app-v package. file is created in C:\Users\Public\sapvi directory. It looks like that this licensing file is encrypted and it varies from installation to installation and cannot be used for multiple users in our enviroment. This is a non persistent enviroment that is using shared desktops, so we cannot perform local installation of LUMIRA. Pre-Installed/sequenced version of SAP Lumira is published to users upon logon and it asks for license key on first run.

I know that it is possible, to stream Lumira as application in Citrix

But we want to publish SAP Lumira to our user's shared virtual machines using App-V without users having to enter license key by themselfes.

It is possible to aquire a different type of license for SAP Lumira ? So it could be moved across users/machines ? Or can LUMIRA be activated automaticly (script) or remotely after it is published on a shared machine ?

Jakub - it looks like the answer is in Ian's blog:

Lumira Desktop installs with a single license key, even in multi-user scenarios. Be sure to work with your SAP representative to acquire the correct license to apply to your multi-user deployment."

You will need to contact your Account Executive for a multi-user license key.

My case is, that we do have that one multi-user License Key that we use for local deployment of SAP Lumira on "physical" machines. When using App-V, software is installed using response file and captured as a package on one machine durigng sequencing, then, this App-V package is distributed across other virtual machines for users that require this software. Problem is, that file is generated during installation, and when this package is later distributed to other shared virtual machines, SAP Lumira is still asking to enter license key because that license file generated during App-V sequencing step is not valid for user machine (it was generated on other machine called App-V sequencer on which we prepare those packages)

"Once used, the license key information is encrypted and stored locally, inhilo_license.propertiesfile, which (by default) can be found inC:\Users\Public\sapvifolder
•Due to encoding of the key, once applied, it is impossible to retreive the license key which has been used to activate the application
•The license key file generated will be unique for each installation, as such it is impossible to successfully copy the file from one workstation to another"

But that's how App-V works, it captures all those file inside of a "bubble" and allows it to run virtualised across multiple machines using same installation captured as .appv file. As I understand that files is user\machine specific. Is there a way to activate SAP Lumira silently after installation, without user interaction ? Some registry/ini entries maybe ?

Jacob - if that is the case, then I recommend opening an incident with SAP Support.

To activate Lumira by script or command line, you can use:

<Path_to_SAPLumira.exe> -nosplash -application -nl en_US -configuration @none step4 -vmargs -Xmx64M -Dfile.encoding=UTF8 -DKeycode=<keycode>

You can add it to the MachineScripts/AddPackage-section of your App-V package's DeploymentConfig.

A lot of SAP BO/BI applications are puzzles to get work within App-V. In the end I always get them work, but it takes a lot of time. It should be great if there is more information available regarding App-V. For example how to deal with the settings of the (eclipse) config.ini.
