Reject approval for PO

ME28 screen is in ALV grid layout .

How to reject approval for one particular PO?

Can anyone please explain me the steps?

Sandeep,

Through ME28 you can not reject the PO.

You have to go to ME29N to reject the PO.

Only option available in ME28 to delete or lock the particular PO line item by double click on particular PO.

Hi Sandeep,

Through ME28 you can cancel the release PO. It will again ready for release.

You can not reject the PO through ME28

Suppose I have a release code .

I am checking my pending PO's for approval in ME28 and if I am finding one PO which has to be rejected , then I will note down that PO number.

Then open a new screen and go to ME29N and reject it .

TAm I correct ? Whether this is the only option available ?

Hello Sandeep,

If you mean rejecting an earlier release of a PO by the releasing authority than in the initial screen of ME28 one has to check the "cancell release" box and as usually entering the PO no. execute button is to be clicked.In the subsequent screen the release option button (green tick) if clicked and saved release will be reversed.

ME29N , every PO users have to go through .

But whether there is any option in ME28 , where users can release the PO's as well as if they need to reject , reject it from there itself.

Hi Sandeep

To the best of my knowledge, I do not think there is an option in ME28.

You will have todo it in ME29N.

Alternatively, you have to use Workflow.
