Hi experts,
How do I configure auto-email alerts for Adapter Engine errors?
I've configured similar alerts for Integration Engine Errors successfully, but I'm not sure how to do it for Adapter Engine Errors.
Please help.
Thank you.

Hi,
When you create the Alert Rules, create a separate Alert Rule for the Adapter Engine errorrs.
In where did the error occur in the alert rule, select Adapter Engine and make the adapter type as ALL.
To forward alerts to an Email Id, this is what you need to do,
1. Assign the Email Id to the recipient of the Alert in SU01.
2. Go the Alert Inbox of the recipient in RWB , Personalization --> Time Independent Delivery -->Email.
3.If SCOT has been configured, for every Alert sent to the Alert Inbox of the user, the Alert Email will now be triggered.
4.Text of the mail will be the Long Text defined in ALRTCATDEF.

Hi Wee,
go to RWB -> Alert configuration.......select your alert category......make a alert rule for it......in the option of which generated error - select adapter engine.....in option of which error generated - select *.
save the rule.........
Then your adapter error alert mails will be generated.

I've created auto-reaction methods (Email) for alerts raised in CCMS - For monitoring Integration Engine. The emails are sent to SAPConnect to internet emails.
Basically I didn't use alert inbox configuration in RWB.
If I'm not mistaken, for Adapter Engine alerts, the configuration has to be done in RWB.
Please enlighten how I achieve similar results (auto reaction email) for alerts raised by Adapter Engine.
Thanks.

The alert emails you refer to are sent to the alert inbox of RWB.
If I want the emails to be sent to internet email addresses, how can I achieve this?
Please advise.
Thanks.

Hi Wee,
just have your internet email address written in the email id of User of fixed recipient of your alrt category....You can also change the email id by SU01 transaction and giving the userid of the user who is recipient of your alert...then you will get your alert in your intenrnt mail adress....
Thanks,

Wow. That's too easy to be true.
But will I still see the alert in my RWB inbox?
Also, can I specify a distribution list and assign the list to a recipient?
Thanks.

How do I define email in ALRTCATDEF?
When I click on "Fixed Receipient", I am shown a list of user names (which I've added).
Where is the place to add email addresses?
Must each email address be tied to each user in the list?
Please help to clarify.
Thanks.
