Add a ratio into Infocube

Former Member

Hi Gurues,

I add a ratio (AMOUNTUSD) into my Infocube. After that the status became in treatement and couldn't activate it any more. One of the new features of this new version is that u can add a characteristic into an infocube and you don't need to erase de data. I had to do that to add the ratio I created into my infocube and now the problem is that I cant't activate the cube.

Thanks,

Diego

Thanks both,

I solved upgrading to SP12. Then I could activate the infocube again.

Thanks,

Diego

For adding a characteristic you don't need to delete the data, anyway (also not in BW 3.x). Could you describe a little more the problems you face. At what stage does it get problems, what error message comes up? Watch the status bar at the bottom while activating, what's the last message that appear before it crashes, aborts or whatever it does?

Klaus,

I know I don't have to delete data to add a characteristic but I had to do it this time to be able to add it into de infocube.

I can view the characteristic (AMOUNTUSD) added into de infocube (trought tx LISTCUBE). I don't have any error message. Just I don't have the option to activate again the Infocube and the status appears "in treatement". When I try to activate it the system doesn't allow me to do it and I don't have any message.

The first time I activated the Infocube without any problem. After that, when I added the characteristic, I faced the problem I described at previous paragraph.

Thanks,

(For efficient solution I will reward points)

Ok, probably you have to open an message at SAP. I assume that you are beyond SP8, otherwise note 940052 could be a solution.

Try running program RSDG_CUBE_ACTIVATE in background.

Check the job log.

This may give u some wayout.
