Hi,
Could anyone please provide explanation of how the posting block "1 – Only postings with subledger account assignment permitted" works ? What kind of postings are allowed for the GL accounts (with posting block set to 1)?
Thanks
Hello,
With the option :1 - Only postings with subledger account assignments allowed
Manual postings can only be made directly to the account when a subledger account suitable for the business transaction is also specified. This type of posting is made using a journal entry voucher. In the case of automatic postings, such as valuation runs, the system automatically determines the accounts using account determination and the accounts therefore automatically receive the subledger account assignment.
Ideally, when Posting block is set to option 1, (let's say for the AP account) you will not be able to manual entries which does not have sub ledger assigned (For example : Manual JEV of type : 00047 - Manual Posting - Journal Entry Voucher) But you will still be able to post the invoice and manual JEV of type : 00084 - Manual Entry for Accounts Payable.
Cheers,
Harshal
