can any one say what is the use of xacutequery and OLAPQuery.

where they are exactly usefull.

Hi Krishna,

Xacute Query is used to take the output of a transaction and send the results to an SAP xMII applet. u can use this query in any application where u want certain data to pass from ur transaction to ur applet.

And OLAP query is used to query the OLAP Datasources & get the data into xMII.

OLAP is actually "On Line Analytical Processing", it provides multidimensional, summarized views of business data and is used for reporting, analysis, modeling and planning for optimizing the business.OLAP is a term used to generically refer to software and applications that provide users with the ability to store and access data in multi-dimensional cubes

Hi Krishna,

One example for OLAP query.

Like if you want to take some data from BI.

In this case first you have to take a cube from BI and release it as

OLEDB for OLAP.

Now once you done BI connection configuration ,you can see this cube in Query Template under OLAP query.Now yo can make changes as per requiremwnt.

So this way you can query multi dimensional expression in xMII.

An XacuteQuery queries an Xacute (Business Logic) transaction.

An OLAPQuery queries an OLAP datasource.
