Capability of MDG Tool

My question is whether MDG tool can replicate master data in two different systems real time. We have to work on two systems one is on ECC6 and the other would be HANA1610. Now if the client creates a WBS element in ECC6 the same WBS element can be replicated by the MDG tool automatically in HANA 1610 so that the client do not need dual maintenance

    Hi Anjan Sinha,

Firstly, let me express my point of view about the term MDG Tool - MDG is not a tool, may be earlier it was considered to be like so. However, during the course of time it had evolved into an Eco-system of different SAP technologies which leverages the capabilities of SAP Master Data Governance, in short. There are various deployment options available based on the needs of the business. You should have a clear view about the stance of the MDG in your SLD.

Secondly, before talking about the replication there is also a need to understand What, Where,When and Who is governing the Master Data. In your context, can you let me know where are the master data CRUD(Create,Read, Update and Delete) operations are performed with in SAP MDG system/client or in any other legacy system.

Finally, SAP MDG has various options to replicate data to multiple system. This is possible by defining a replication model and various business systems in MDG client and probably in case of HANA system you may end up using SOA services to replicate the data to HANA system, the same data can be replicated to ECC/ERP system by using ALE IDOC's .

    Thanks, Pavan
