Forward in Leave Workflow

Dear all.

We are in ECC 6.0 with EP.7.0

I have a question with regards of Leave Workflow.

When Workflow Administrator forward Leave work item from initial approver to another approver (second approver), why the second approver could not see anything in the "Request waiting for approval" window? Since the approver could not find anything then the second approver can't approve the work item.

What is the requirement to forward Leave work item?

Hi All,

Can you please help me out with this ?

I am stuck with this issue badly.

I am trying to use standard forwarding of the Approval Workitem to any other user in the system from tcode : SWIA.

It successfully forwards the workitem and an entry gets added to table SWWUSERWI, but the forwarded user is not able to see the workitem in SBWP or UWL.

Also can that user successfully approve the workitem if forwarded from SWIA ? What happens to the entry in the PTARQ -> Next Processer table ? I hope the old entry there will not stop the new forwarded user to approve the workitem ?

We are using ECC 6.0, EP 7.0.

Please suggest.

Regards,

Sourav

As far as my knowledge goes we can use the administrator forward to forward it to anybody . It is even possible to send the workitem to persons who are not possible agents and even when the workflow forward functionality has been disabled for the task .

Hi Radha.

I agree with you, Administrator forward can be used to forward work item to any body (depends on workflow task classification).

But my problem is as per Raja answer.

Administrator forward is not working for Leave Application. As I mentioned earlier, When administrator forward leave work item, the alternate approver could not find the initiator's request

Hi Raja.

I believe this happens with substitution as well

Hi Sandy,

Or Search for some SAP Notes or raise an OSS Message. Let's see how they respond.

Hi,

But I am not so sure if this Administrative Forward will work for Leave Workflow.

As per my knowledge, the leave process's agent's are determined in PTREQ* tables, so if you do a administrative forward, I really doubt if the new agent gets maintained in this table automatically.

So, in such case, we require to manually update the agent in PTREQ* tables using some FM. Try working around PTREQ* Tables to get to understand the process and data storage.
