[EWM] Trigger LOSC from a Bulk Storage Type

Dear Gurus,

I'm trying to trigger LOSC when performing a replenishment from a Bulk storage type. As you know, LOSC is triggered when an HU is involved. As we do not perform any HU determination (due to bulk behavior), ewm perform a Product WT.

I know also that LOSC is triggered when Product WT is created with a Stock Removal of Whole, Homogenous Handling Unit. I'm not able in that case to trigger such a WT.

Do you how to do it ?

Hi Olivier, I have same scenario. I have 1 EA in picking bin. Max quantity is 100. I have 100 EA in bulk storage type. After ran the replenishment I get 1 WT to move 99 EA to picking bin. Bulk storage does not allow partial pallets and field "Round Whole Units" is set with 2. LOSC is also customizing with value A (partial removal - product warehouse task).

After confirm the WT using RFUI I dont get a new WT as Juergen mentioned above and 1 EA remains in the bulk storage bin.

Hi,

yes... but did you try the process? Because when you confirm the warehouse order via RF, the system changes the destination bin of the original warehouse task to the interim bin and creates the next WT after the confirmation. So as I can see it, it works ok.

So... you say that partial quantities are NOT allowed. But in LOSC you have setup a line with "A partial removal". That does not fit togher I would think. And if partial quantities are not allowed, the system should not even create a WT for 99 pieces Assuming you somewhere tell the system that a full pallet is 100 pieces.

Hi Juergen, as you know, in bulk it is not possible to set the availability quantity at HU level and because of that it is also not possible to setup picking point. I'm running order based replenishment on a picking bin which is not empty but the stock level is not enough. I dont want to take a partial pallet from bulk. I want to take the full pallet, move to an interim storage area and move the the partial quantity to the fixed bin in picking area. Each HU in the bulk bin is 100 EA. The max quantity in the fix bin is also 100 EA. I have 10 EA now in the fix bin and I have an open request for 20 EA. I run /scwm/repl and I get a WT for 90 EA (I cannot create a WT for 100 due to capacity on the bin). Any idea how to handle this scenario?

Hi,

Another option is to trigger the pick point functionality at the bulk storage type. So the whole HU could be moved, partial qty repacked into new HU but rest needs to be brought over to bulk.
