How cross tab summary report works ?

I have created a cross tab report , and i placed four summarized fields (Group Rate Count , Group Total count , Sum of Rate Value and Average of rate value ) where

Rate value = Group Rate Count / Group Total Count .

When i check the value for Sum of Rate Value , its always displaying Group Rate Count numbers .

Can any one suggest how summary works on cross tab .

    Hi Sriram,

    Instead of dividing the two fields in a formula and then adding it to the crosstab, I would suggest using an "Embedded Summary". The Embedded Summary should be able to "look at" the summarized values thereby resulting in a correct calculation.

    1. While in the Preview Mode, right-click one of the values for "@Group_Total_Count" summary cell under the column "201701"

    2. Select Embedded Summary > Insert Embedded Summary.

    3. A new cell should be inserted below Group_Total_Count summary with the title "Edit this formula".

    Right-click this new cell > Select Embedded Summary > Edit Calculation Formula > Use this code:

    If GridValueAt(CurrentRowIndex, CurrentColumnIndex, 1) = 0 then 0 else
    GridValueAt(CurrentRowIndex, CurrentColumnIndex, 0)/GridValueAt(CurrentRowIndex, CurrentColumnIndex, 1)
