When selecting the query for a replacement path variable there is an option 'Use View for Query Start'.
Does anyone know what this is (supposed) to do?
Whatever setting I use during testing, the result is always the same.
Thanks,
József.
I, too, have this same question. I have looked for an explanation of the "Use View for Query Start" checkbox and its usage, and while I would expect that to be explained in one of the following links, it is not...

Yes this is NW2004s.
It sounds logical that it would support a view of a query, problem is that when I put in a query view, it still shows the original query results.

Jozsef,
I have not seen the option you are speaking of, are you on 2004s?
However, it sounds like you have the ability to select a view and/or a query. A view is a saved navigation state of a query. As an example, your query might default to output data at the Material Group level, however, a view would use the same query and have a drilldown to material and fewer KFs.
