Hello,
we have the issue.
Is there a difference between ECC 6.0 systems resulting from an upgrade (e.g. 4.7) and a system resulting from a system copy ("nacked installation ECC 6.0 and then establishing the db via a systemcopy (detach/attach the db). ?
Or in other words, is a basis system resulting from an upgrade the same coming from a "pure" installation ?
Thanks so far,
dikomin

Hi,
<i>is a basis system resulting from an upgrade the same coming from a "pure" installation</i>
I would answer this with 'Not exactly'.
Of course the business functionality should work just the same, but at some technical details you will note a difference.
For example if you upgrade from 4.6C the db schema still is SAPR3. If you do a new installation, the db schema is SAP<SID>.

Sascha
