Properly closing out RFC connections

Hi.

We are making RFC connections to SAP and the connections were not properly closed. We realized it when we started getting the error:

ERROR max no of 100 conversations exceeded

So we closed all the connections in SM04 and fixed the problem.

But we are still getting the same error of a 100 conversation limit exceeded. But only sometimes.

To me it almost seems like SAP still "thinks" that the old connections that we closed via SM04 are still valid. Maybe somewhere in cache?

Are there a way to properly close the connections, or at least to check what is connected?

SM04 shows between 1 and 5 connections.

Hi,

maybe this wiki can help:

RFC Connections remain in SM04

Best regards,

Thanks - it does help a bit. We suspect that the old RFC session's created Messages that might now be stuck. We don't have access to SMGW, but we suspect that might show pending conversations. But how to we delete those messages/conversations?
