Problems with scrap movement 551

Former Member

Hello, mates,

When I use the transaction MB1A (or MB11 or any other way to use the movement 551) for any plant and and any storage location, the standard program changes the Cost Center I input to a certain one. I tested with several plants, storage locations, cost center and materials.

The only thing that affects this is changing the movement type or company code. If I use the movement 903 or a plant from another company code, the Cost Center I enter doesn't change.

Do you know any transaction/table/spro configuration that determines that a certain Cost Center should always be used with a movement type or company code? Or do you have any idea why does it happens?

I tried to find it out debugging it, and it really is standard. I found where the value on the screen change, but my ABAP skills couldn't take me to the root cause of this.

Thanks in advance,

Vinicius Brito

Helllo Vinicius,

When you do this movement type (551) at that time system tries to determine G/L account automatically based on the Account determination (OBYC) settings and it pulls G/L account there.

The cost element is created for that G/L account and cost center has been defaulted in the cost element settings (on 'Default account assignment' tab), so you need to change that cost center (KA02).

Hope this helps.
