Solution manager 7.2 - HTTPS, IIOPSEC and P4SEC configurations mandatory?

Hi Experts,

Is it mandatory to enable the HTTPS, IIOPSEC and P4SEC configurations in the solution manager 7.2 system?

Is there any note and standard documents for these to my understanding...

Can't these be done later on?...without these any functionalities can be affected?

I see them in these blog

https://blogs.sap.com/2016/02/20/solution-manager-72-installation-and-configuration-ii-configuration...

But not in the other blog

https://blogs.sap.com/2016/02/20/solution-manager-72-installation-and-configuration-ii-configuration...

Please clarify...I would appreciate all your help and inputs...

Thanks in advance

Simple answer is NO.

Yo do not need to configure HTTPS, IIOPSEC and P4SEC

If you want to configure end to end secure connections you need this all to be configured.

Hi Daniel,

These config can be done later too.

These protocol config are specifically security-relevant, as your Solution Manager if accessible via Internet Browser. IIOPSEC and P4SEC are configured for the JAVA stack.

2. Infrastructure Preparation

Hope this helps.
