Hi all, could you please tell me what is the difference between the transactions VK31 and VK11 to create a price for a material

Both are used to maintain condition records, but user inteface is different. Most of them are confortable with VK11, where as VK31 is in from certain version (didn't remember), which is primarily based on material, customer and the if it requires to maintain for multiple condition types at once like mass maintenance of condition records for various condition types for a sales org, dist. channle (e.g.) etc and can have you own criteria too but you need to configure. Usually most of them are very much confortable ti h VK11 and don't use VK31 much, but is a good one too.

Hi,

Both VK11 and VK31 are used to create condition records in pricing.

VK11 is used to maintain condition records individually for each condition type.

Whereas VK31 is used for mass maintenance of all the condition types.

If we want to maintain condition records for pricing, discounts, taxes

in VK11 we have to do it individually

whereas in VK 31 we can maintain condition records for all the three at a time.

Hi,

VK11 is for condition record maintainence by condition type whereas VK31 is for mass maintenance of condition types.

In VK11 we can create condition records for ALL the condition types (even including customised condition types) with application as V (SD).

In VK31 we can create ONLY the SAP Standard condition record where in can access discounts, prices, taxes and freights.
