Design Studio Planning over the BPC cube

Hi Expert,
We have a requirement to build a Design Studio Planning report based on the BPC real time cube.

We already using the BPC realtime cube for planning functionality, but we like to add a new flow of creating an Aggregation level over the real time cube and create a Input ready query for Design studio Planning report.

Could you please suggest whether it could be an good way to go ahead of using the BPC realtime cube for planning via BPC and Design studio.

Note: We know that there could be some lock conflict between them, but selection are different for BPC and Design studio.

Hi Ramesh,

with BPC real-time cube you mean an InfoCube generated in BPC Standard (i.e. using /CPMB/ namespace)? If yes, you can use Design Studio since also BPC generated InfoCubes in namespace /CPMB/ are real-time InfoCubes, but Design Studio and AO are using BW-IP technology (including PAK in the HANA case) and this engine knows nothing about BPC Standard business logic (e.g. account logic incl. sign reversal, calculated accounts, BPC work status, ...). So you may create inconsistent data with respect to BPC business logic!

In BPC Embedded - of course - using Design Studio has no issues (maybe except missing features, e.g. work status settings integration in the UI).
