Totals wrong in Shared Axis result of dependent report

Dear Experts,

We have a requirement to combine 2 different cross tabs using Shared axis (Combine).

CrossTab 1:

Product Qty

A 10

B 20

Total 30

********************

CrossTab 2:

Product OpenQty

A 15

C 20

Total 35

********************

After combine both tabs, result as follows :

Result :

Product Qty OpenQty

A 10 15

B 20

Result 30 35

********************

Merge results are perfectly working based on left outer join (Master - CrossTab 1, Dependent - CrossTab 2), but the issue is with Result row.

Qty total is 30 , but OpenQty total is showing as 35 ( which is equal to Crosstab 2 total , ie A + C = 35) instead of 15.

Is there any way to just add results based on available values in Result set of Dependent Measures? ( I tried Totals-->Calculate Total as -->Sum, but not working)

Thanks in advance...

Regards,

Raju

Hi - sorry for the delay in replying. Would it be possible for you to share some screen shots?

One idea is to create an Excel formula for results; have you tried that?

Dear Tammy,

Thanks for the response.

After Merger with Totals

I tried Excel formula, but its static.

Thanks,

Raju

Hi Raju - which version and SP of Analysis Office are you using?

Raju - if I use an Excel formula outside the "results" and Analysis pane, I can get the right result:

Would it be possible for you to try that?

Dear Tammy,

Yes we can see correct total using Excel formula, but this would be static. What I mean is if we drilldown the report to one more level ( by adding additional Char/dimension) then the result will be wrong.

Technically this is not feasible for dynamic reports.

Thanks,

Raju

Excel formulas are no longer static in 2.4...have you tried it?

But I see your point about drilldown. Maybe submit an incident for this, or they may have you go to Idea Place

Thanks Tammy...We raised an incident and waiting for SAP response.

Thanks,

Raju

Hi Raju

Did you ever get any feedback from SAP on this? We face a similar issue.

Thanks

Bart

Dear Bart,

Issue remains same.... :(

SAP said its by Design. But technically this is an issue. System should show only summation of details which are coming in result area , but not all.

Thanks,

Raju
