B1 - MS Exchange Integration

Has anyone taken this project on for Contact records? Is it even possible?

We are very interested in finding something at the Exchange level. We want to find a way to create Contact records from Outlook as well as from B1 and place them on a PDA for our outside salespeople to use in the field.

One trick... We have ~20,000 Business Partners and ~50,000 contacts. So, synchronization becomes a material concern.

Any ideas? Your thoughts/suggestions/comments are very welcome, whatever they may be....

Thank you.

    Scott,

You may want to look at the Channel Partner Solution Network where you can search for solutions that have been created that integrate with SAP Business One. You may find a solution that does what you are looking for. CPSN is at ...

You may also want to look at the SAP Business One Outlook integration that you can download from the SAP PartnerEdge Network. This will integrate Business Partners and activities between SAP Business One and Outlook.

CPSN is not available to customers, only Partners. This same problem exists with the primary SAP Business One forum. It is frustrating to customers that some of the most valuable development resources have been stripped from customer access. I've purchased a tool, but am not provided all the implements to modify/customize it on my own. I am forced to work with outside parties that cost more money to use when I have the technical ability to handle my own changes.

We have tried using the SAP Outlook Integration; but, the tool does not work very well for the number of contacts that we have. We must perform a very, very long synchronization every time we connect to update this list. And, it is only supported for particular Outlook clients. We are hoping that the Exchange process would be faster. And, it already can support a wide breadth of devices. But, we are not sure how well this solution may work.

So, if anyone can tell us who may have dealt with this issue previously, e.g. a Partner who has developed a product for this requirement, then I would appreciate the help. Assignment of these points seems to boil down to a Partner looking in the forums that I am not privy to viewing.

    Thank you.
