hi expects,

After running a BDC program in background, next day morning when you see the results, few records are not updated(error records). What will you do then?

    If your BDC is not a call transaction type BDC then you can find everything that failed in SM35. If it is not then your process is incorrect. For background processing you must use call function 'BDC_INSERT'

    exporting

    tcode = gc_tcode ====> Transaction to process

    tables

    dynprotab = gt_bdcdata. =====> bdc structure

    So the idea is:

    1) 'BDC_OPEN_GROUP'

    2) single or multiple "BDC_INSERT"

    3) BDC_CLOSE_GROUP

    You may also try doing bdc via call transaction and in case it fails you may use technique mentioned above. In any case Your errors must be available for manual processing in SM35.

    Good luck. and please reward if this helps.

    Hi,

    In case there are error records get the reason why the particular records errored out. Correct the error and reprocess the records again by running the BDC again.

    Regards,

    Sowmya.
