Any hidden config/roles to get portal navigation to work?

Hi all Gurus,

I have a perculiar problem regard portal navigation.

I'm using portal absolute navigation to navigate from one application to the other. I created the nesessary iviews and obtain their PCD for navigation links.

I did all the stuff needed (ie replace PCD with ROLES://) but:

- When I'm using a normal userID I invoke the WD code for navigation, I only get a blank screen.

- However if I'm using a admin ID(packed with content admin previlages) to invoke the WD I manage to navigate to the correct iviews.

I tried to duplicate the R/3 IDs and roles of the Admin ID to the normal ID but the normal ID just fails to navigate and only give me a blank screen.

Did I do anything wrong? Am I missing any config/roles for the ID to allow inter application navigation in Portal?

Hi Jansen

Have you assigned permissions to roles on the folder where your iview lies ?

Right click folder, select "permission" from context menu. Search for the roles for a "normal user" and add it to assigned permissions. <b>Check the "End User" check box for the added role</b>.
