Inter-company asset transfer issue (ABT1N) between US and Non-US company codes in S/4 HANA 1605

Hi Team,

We have multiple charts of depreciation for different companies. This includes transaction between US company codes and Non US company codes.

The US company code has leading ledger and one non leading ledger ( 0L,Z2). 0L is assigned to accounting principle USGAAP and Z2 is assigned to Other GAAP.

The non US company code ( India) – has an additional non leading ledger for Local GAAP.

The US COD has 5 depreciation areas as

01-USGAAPbelow

01-USGAAP (0L) LC

02-USGAAP (0L) GC

03-Tax ( 0L)

04-Other GAAP ( Z2) LC

05-Other GAAP ( Z2) GC

The India COD has 7 depreciation area as below:

01-USGAAP

01-USGAAP (0L) LC

02-USGAAP (0L) GC

03-Local GAAP (ZA) LC

04-Local GAAP (ZA) GC

05-Local GAAP (Z2) Tax

06-Other GAAP (Z2) LC

07-Other GAAP (Z2) GC

The configuration settings have been performed as per the SAP Note for differing fiscal year variants including creation of additional ledger ZZ. All transactions are working fine for all company codes EXCEPT for ABT1N – Inter-company asset transfer.

ABT1N is happening properly in US- ONLY company codes and Non US ONLY company codes separately. However the transfer between a given US and Non US company code is NOT HAPPENING since the US company code has 5 dep areas and the Non US company code has 7 dep areas.

Has anyone come across a similar issue and found a resolution. Essentially I want to be able to transfer assets between US and Non US company codes. Here in this case is the * sufficient for cross system depreciation area or should they be defined separately. Assuming that cross system depreciation area Z1- Z7 can be defined as per the depreciation area, how will the values for 03 and 44 (Local GAAP- India) depreciation areas transferred from US company code?
