Just to ask the question.
We are looking at accruing long service leave for Australia.
The rules are very focused around weeks, with weeks of LSL accruing for weeks (or years of service)
The employees we will be accruing for are monthly paid salaried employees and are not paid thru SAP.
I would appreciate if anyone successfully accruing this type of leave could share the approach they have used to implement this.
Specifically I am initially curious as to what accrual period you used and what base entitlement.
My thinking was I would accrue monthly based on planned time (allowing for weekly planned max of 38 hours) but as planned time can change over the years you could have a scenario where after 10 years' service the accrued leave could be less than the required 8.66 weeks equivalent.
Cheers
