Hierarchy Load with Flat File

Former Member

I'm stuck on this one,

Can someone please tell me if for a hierarchy datasource you can have two different transfer structure attached at the same time. Meaning we want to load Hierachies from a flatfile and also from the standard R/3 system hierarchies. For example cost center. We have a need for this so please don't respond with "why would you want to do this" . I just have major technical issues. Everytime I transport it always picks up the flatfile structure. For example I transported the r/3 transfer structure, seemed to be there ok in Prod. Then created a infopackage usinging and when I transported to Prod, it complained the structures did not match.

Thanks

Will reward points.

hi

To load hierarchy data from a flat file you need to follow some structure in your flat file..alternatively,better to create hierarchy in bw and use it when ever you required

Please have a look at the below links

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/8e/dbe92341c84242be2c7d3917f1c197/frameset.htm

Hope it helps,

Thanks

I assigned points for your time.

I already have the hierarchy loading from flat file perfectly !

Its when I also wanted to load from SAP Source System , I encountered a conflict with the transfer structure !

Thanks for everyones time.

I have the flat file working Already. I want to now also load from r/3. Can the two transfer structure exist at the same time and can I load from both the flat file and then create a infopackage for the standard costcenter hierarchy in r/3. I don't need instructions on how to load hoerarchy from flat file. That part is done. I keep getting errors when trying to load from r/3.

Thanks for all help
