Change portal URL

hi,

I want to change portal url http://<system>:50000/irj/portal/

I hav gone thruogh threads in forum,.even though, i didnt understand.

can u guide me

step-by-step procedure how to change url.

Hi,

it depends on the URL you would like to use instead. If you want to use http://<server>:<port>; than you have to modify the start page of the server. You can do this in Visual Administrator. Navigate to <J2E> -> server -> services -> HTTP Provider. Adjust the property Start Page to "/irj/portal".

If you want to set it to a value like http://<server>:<port>/<path>; you have to define a HTTP alias. You can find more information about HTTP alias in the <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/96/910fcdfe1c384f8e17cf86947794cf/frameset.htm">SAP Library</a>
