Unable to deploy ear file

Hi,

We are not able to deploy ear file more than one user at a time.

When one user is deploying ear file if some body try to deploy ear file we are getting exception saying that "There are already active sessions:

Session id 2 / An administrator logged in via API / ".

Please let me know how to solve this problem.

Two question

1. Are you deploying the same ear file

2. Are both the sessions using the same user name

For (2) if yes, please try a different user with the j2ee_engine admin rights

Hi Unni,

1. I am deploying two different ear files in different systems.

2. Yes, both systems we are using same user name i.e., Administrator.

If at all if I want to use another user where should I configure other user. When we are deploying ear file it is asking for only password. Let me know the steps to configure other user and what role that user should have in j2ee engine.

I explained how to setup a deployment environment for multi user in <a href="/people/benny.schaich-lebek/blog/2006/06/14/how-to-tune-your-netweaver-developer-workplace-i">this Blog</a>. The drawback, as you will see is that you cannot deploy from two sites. For this you need an NWDI..
